Old-school top-down armed car racer Death Rally is returning to PC August 3. The game is last year's mobile remake of the original, now being brought to PC--and remade again. I'm personally interested as a big fan of the 96' classic.

A new pirate RPG is in the works from Snowbird Studios, creators of Mount and Blade: With Fire & Sword--the expansion to the hardcore historical action RPG. Titled Carribbean!, the game will essentially be Mount and Blade in a 17th century Carribbean setting. In the M&B: With Fire & Sword engine, the game will feature brutal sea battles, boarding fights, duels, political intrigues and piracy. Pirates and M&B is a very, very interesting prospect considering the shaky swashbuckling games of late.

The video duo below shows off the latest SimCity title from series creator Maxis. The city-building simulation game looks to retain the classic attention to detail the franchise is known for but with a much greater level of accessibility. A red flag, however, is the always-on internet requirement for the game's multiplayer. Check out the footage below.

Arkane's sandbox assassination game Dishonored recreates London as a "retro-futuristic" city, with a very unique atmosphere. Players embody Corvo, the Empress’ legendary bodyguard who was wrongly accused of her murder. Corvo possesses supernatural powers and combines them with his gadgets to make him a devastating threat to the Lord Regent who is behind the coup. Check out the E3 trailer below.

I know I'm one of many that has an awfully negative opinion on Skyrim's user interface. The inventory was especially poor in design. It's quite annoying to sift through your gear looking for different items. A solution to this mess is already here, and it actually makes Bethesda look silly. And it's in the form of SkyUI. This mod reworks the inventory and menu system to make it significantly more accessible to locate specific items. This is one Bethesda needs to copy.

Bethesda has released the PC specific Skyrim 1.3.10.0 patch. It's really a tiny little update, but it corrects one of the game's glaring issues: support for more memory. Specifically, up to 4GB RAM can be put to use now. Skyrim actually takes more advantage of our computers! Yay!
